Come alongside in us in our Diocesan prayer initiative this Lent
as we commit to praying a 10 second prayer each day.

Here's how it works:

Each day you will be asked to pray,

"Lord, today is there someone you want me to connect with outside the church?"

That's it. Fourteen words.

Then just pay attention to what happens...

  • If nothing happens, that's fine, you are still creating a spiritual discipline.
  • If something happens, please share it at ACORN@calgary.anglican.ca. This email will go to Michael Harvey, the creator of ACORN, as well as Deacon Marcus Herrel and Deacon Elizabeth Short. We will protect anonymity but will share with people as an encouragement.

Place the prayer on a sticky note and attach it to your bathroom mirror,
or make it your phone wallpaper,
or some such thing, so that you are reminded to pray daily.

If you sign up, (ACORN@calgary.anglican.ca) you will receive a short daily message of encouragement from Michael Harvey for 44 days, beginning Ash Wednesday.

Imagine this prayer being prayed throughout the Diocese every day throughout Lent.

Those 10 seconds will add up...
