A Prayer Shawl is a hand knitted or crocheted shawl for those in need of prayer.
This shawl was made for you
To bring comfort
To know you are loved
To share in your joy
This shawl is to wrap you up
When you're cold
When you're hurting
When you need to snuggle
This shawl was knitted or chrocheted
The group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 1:30 to 3:00 pm at the Church, although most members work on their projects all month long.
With prayers and Christ's love knitted into them, the shawls comfort people in their grief, bring peace to the distressed, and warming some while dealing with injury or disease. In 2018 many shawls were sent to the families of the Humbolt Broncos bus accident.
Still others received them in celebration of new births or new life experiences. For more information contact Sharon Barnden or www.shawlministry.com
